The Municipality of Shuniah, Ont. rejects proposed gas "peaker" plant, for now

In a council meeting Monday evening, the Municipality of Shuniah said they will not be supporting a 100-megawatt gas-fired peaker plant proposed by Current H2 Inc., due to the limited time available to complete the recommended technical, legal, planning and emergency management review necessary for such a decision.
