‘Substantial difference:’ Bamkushwada LP receives 20 per cent ownership in East-West Tie Transmission Line

Six First Nations on the shores of Lake Superior have significantly increased their equity stake in the East-West Tie (EWT) Transmission Line. Bamkushwada LP (BLP), which represents the communities, now has an equity stake of 20 per cent, up from its initial 3.5 per cent, with support from a provincial guarantee of up to $75 million and a loan from Canada Life, as announced on May 29.
