Planting for the future

A group of volunteers recently gathered at Thunder Bay's Neebing-McIntyre floodway to plant 1,000 native perennials. It's all part of ongoing work by the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority to restore habitat along natural waterways by getting rid of invasive species, and replacing them with plants that benefit wildlife, stabilize shorelines and help filter runoff.
