Northwest Region Forest Fire Situation Update, August 7, 2022

THUNDER BAY – WILDFIRE UPdate – The quiet fire season continues. There is only one active fire in the district.No new fires were confirmed in the Northwest Region by the late afternoon of August 7.
Since the last update:Nipigon 12 was discovered in the evening hours of Aug. 6 on Ginoogaming First Nation just south of Longlac. The 0.1 hectare fire has been called out.
