Northern Rivers and Lakes Check the Ice

MOOSONEE, ON – On the evening of November 25th the Moosonee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Moosonee Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD) responded to a pedestrian in distress on the Moose River. The pedestrian was stranded on a small island due to the unsafe ice surrounding him.
The male was rescued by the MVFD without injury.
