Northern Ontario cities remind public about not tossing harmful items into garbage carts

As northern Ontario cities of Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie continue to roll out their garbage cart programs, officials are reminding residents not to toss harmful items into the bins. Things like tree stumps, industrial waste and large pieces of metal can damage the trucks and cause the system to grind to a halt, in order to complete costly repairs.
