Lake Ontario Outflow to be Increased

THUNDER BAY – TRANSPORTATION – The outflow from Lake Ontario through the St. Lawrence River is scheduled to be increased from 10,200 cubic metres persecond (cms) to 10,400 cms at 12:01 today, June 14, 2017.
This outflow will create velocities higher than normal in the navigation channels and variations in the normal current patterns may occur.Mariners are advised to exercise caution
