Keewaytinook Okimakanak eHealth launches specialized retinal screening program for remote First Nations

Keewaytinook Okimakanak (KO) eHealth launched its KO Teleophthalmology Program on June 11 to improve access to diabetic retinal screening and specialized eye care services for remote First Nations in northern Ontario. In addition to virtual care pathways, the new program will train local health-care teams and community telemedicine coordinators to use specialized retinal cameras to screen members in 27 of these communities regularly.
