THUNDER BAY – WILDFIRE UPDATE – With heat warnings for the western parts of the region, it is very likely that there will be more fires in the woodlands.

There were two new fires in the Northwest Region by the afternoon of July 12.Sioux Lookout Fire 63 was spotted by a commercial aircraft near the shoreline of Carling Lake, approximately 66 kilometres northeast of Sioux Lookout. The 0.2 hectare fire is being held.
