Five new fires in Northwest
THUNDER BAY – There were five new fires in the Northwest Region by the afternoon of August 26.  These fires are located in the Red Lake, Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout and Dryden districts. By day’s end on August 25 there were five new fires confirmed in the Northwest Region.
The forest fire hazard is moderate to high across most of the region with an extreme hazard in the north of Sioux Lookout and Nipigon districts. Rain is in the forecast for the
