Fishing Violations Catch Fishers a Netful of Fines

Kenora – Four men have been fined for offences under the Fisheries Act, the Ontario Fishery Regulations and the Liquor Licence Act.
Ken Loranger of Crofton, British Columbia, pleaded guilty and was fined $1,250 for possessing walleye of prohibited size, $200 for fishing without a licence and $150 for having open liquor in a boat.
Shawn Benson of Calgary, Alberta, pleaded guilty and was fined $200 for fishing without a licence and $150 for having open liquor in a boat.
