THUNDER BAY – WILDFIRE Update – There was one new fire confirmed on Wednesday. The Fire Hazard in the Thunder Bay and Nipigon regions is listed as high.One new fire was confirmed in the Northwest Region by the late afternoon of Aug. 31.Red Lake 5 is located near Favourable Lake, approximately 44 kilometres southwest of the remote community of Sandy Lake First Nation. The 0.1 hectare fire is not under control.
