Yamamoto close to making Oilers' roster

No matter what the Edmonton Oilers do with Kailer Yamamoto, there will be a groundswell of opposition screaming it’s a terrible mistake.
Send him back to junior in the interest of long-term development and it’s a slap in the face for a plucky underdog who won a job, fair and square, based on skill and determination.
Keep him in Edmonton based on merit and they’ll be accused of rushing and ruining the kid, throwing another young and undersized blue-chip prospect in over his head
