Woman dead after collision in west Edmonton

An Edmonton woman and her dog are dead after being hit by an SUV around 7 p.m. on Saturday at Suder Greens Drive at approximately 88 Avenue.
An off-duty paramedic performed CPR on the woman until paramedics arrived, said Staff Sgt. Barry Maron, but the woman died.
The major collision investigations unit is investigating the crash.
A green SUV was stopped past the crosswalk and a pickup truck was stopped before the crosswalk, both behind a large section of police tape.
