Wine column: Corsica wines reflect history of conflict and conquest
While planning for an upcoming trip to France I was reminded of two often overlooked island destinations on my bucket list. One, just a short ferry ride off the southeast coast of Newfoundland — a place called Saint Pierre and Miquelon — is the last remaining French territory, dating back to when New France occupied much of the North American east coast.
