If there is one big ugly issue on the Edmonton Oilers’ power play, it is the team’s inability to manufacture one-timer shots.
One-timer shots have killed the Oilers when they’ve been penalty killing this year, as pucks have gone cross-crease or cross-seam against the Oilers ineffective penalty kill to set up that most deadly of opposition scoring chance shots, the dreaded one-timer.
