West Edmonton Mall waterpark undergoes $2.5 million renovation

One of Canada’s most famous waterparks is temporarily closed as it undergoes a $2.5 million renovation.
West Edmonton Mall’s World Waterpark will be closed to the public until Sept. 26 as crews, among other things, repaint the 50,000-square-foot wave pool.
When it reopens it will do so in a limited capacity. It will be back to full capacity on Oct. 6.
