Wednesday's letters: Extra playground spending out of touch
Who wouldn’t applaud Rachel Notley’s government for giving $20 million dollars to build more playgrounds for our kids, right?
Until one realizes that the province already spends $1.5 billion per year of lottery profits on community initiatives in the province. In addition, individual school and charity groups directly receive almost $200 million per year from casinos under the province’s charity model plus a lesser amount per year from hosting bingos and other games of chance.
