Water main break turned 109 Street intersection into lake

Emergency crews and Epcor are responding to a water main break in downtown Edmonton Friday night.
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services spokeswoman Maya Filipovic said fire crews received a call around 9:20 p.m. that an eight-inch water main had broken in front of a Best Buy.
The water is affecting 109 Street between 103 Avenue and 104 Avenue. The entire intersection is affected, said police.
Filipovic said it is recommended commuters avoid the area for the time being.
