Watch: Remembering former MLA Gene Zwozdesky

The former Speaker in Alberta’s legislative assembly and a six-term MLA, Gene Zwozdesky, has died of cancer.
A teacher, musician, dancer, entrepreneur and avid volunteer, Zwozdesky was first elected to the legislature in 1993 as a Liberal representing the Edmonton-Avonmore riding in southeast Edmonton. After re-election as a Liberal in 1997, he crossed the floor to the Progressive Conservatives in 1998.
