UCP MLA Don MacIntyre quits caucus after sexual assault, interference charges

Innisfail-Sylvan Lake MLA Don MacIntyre, facing charges of sexual assault and sexual interference, quit the United Conservative Party caucus Friday.
He appeared in Red Deer provincial court Thursday.  
The UCP caucus issued a one sentence news release Friday afternoon on the resignation. MacIntyre issued a tweet stating that he was resigning from politics to “focus on our family.”
