U of A could be doing more to recruit us: international students
For Murtoza Manzur, 22, studying at the University of Alberta is a family tradition. His aunt came from Bangladesh to study there in the 1970s. That helped Manzur decide that Edmonton was where he wanted to study when it was his turn to go abroad.
“Canada is a very open country, very multicultural and accepting of different people. Not like south of the border,” said the fourth-year political science student. “And of course, the U of A is a very highly ranked university.”
