Tyler Benson expected to join Vancouver Giants in three weeks

With farmhand goalie Eddie Pasquale going on waivers so they can send him to Bakersfield Condors, the Edmonton Oilers have 41 players on their training camp roster, but with an asterix.
That includes defenceman Andrej Sekera, who’ll be going on IR with his torn knee ligaments surgery rehab, junior winger Tyler Benson and off-season minor-league signing Brian Ferlin.
Neither Benson, whom his Vancouver Giants GM Glen Hanlon says will join the junior squad Oct. 13, nor Ferlin have taken part
