Two Alberta NDP MLAs announce they won't seek re-election

Strathcona-Sherwood Park MLA and government caucus whip Estefania Cortes-Vargas says she won’t be running in the next election.
“It is with a heavy heart that I have come to the tough decision that I will not be seeking re-election to pursue further professional development opportunities,” she tweeted Monday. “Until the election is held, I plan to continue working hard for all of my constituents.”
Her announcement followed a similar move from Infrastructure Minister
