It is a naive and short-term fix to invite the provincial government to intervene in what is otherwise a competitive market for the exploration and development of our province’s energy resources.
If prices are low and some companies seek short-term relief through production cuts, then they must be prepared to also accept government direction for production increases when prices are deemed “too high.”
