Toxic chemicals found near Lesser Slave Lake a concern for residents

Community members on the southern shore of Lesser Slave Lake are concerned about contaminants from a former plant entering the water supply for the surrounding areas.
The former Osmose wood preserving plant site two kilometres from the hamlet of Faust — about 241 km northwest of Edmonton — has been fenced in since 1993 due to chemical contamination, including toxic dioxins.
