Townhouses evacuated after fire in west Edmonton

Smoke and flames billowed from a townhouse complex as fire crews arrived near 101 Avenue and 143 Street just after 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services saw flames and smoke coming from the roof of a three-unit building when the arrived on scene after a call at 6:03 p.m., according to spokeswoman Claire Harvey in an interview on Saturday.
All units were safely evacuated and the fire was contained to one unit. A home to the west was also evacuated for precautionary reasons.
All reside
