Thursday's letters: Council doing nothing to gentrify downtown

Despite bringing these concerns to the attention of council and other politicians, nothing ever changes. The core is a haven for the down-and-outs. We have no policies or laws to gentrify the area. The bottom line is that open drug use is tolerable and city council is absolutely OK with this. That's why nothing will change.
