Thousands of low income kids get another year at camp

Up to 7,000 kids in Alberta will get to go to camp this summer after the city’s executive committee deferred a local non-profit’s tax payments for the year.
Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch, a charity that runs free outdoor activities and camps for children and families facing financial, physical or mental challenges, was facing closure this fall if it wasn’t offered some sort of financial relief from the city.
