Terwillegar Recreation Centre evacuated after ammonia leak

The Terwillegar Recreation Centre in the city’s southwest was evacuated after an ammonia leak Thursday evening.
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services responded to an alarm at the recreation centre around 7:15 p.m. reporting an ammonia leak.
Fire crews evacuated the arena and currently have hazmat crews testing the air quality and working to find where the leak is coming from in the arena area, said Claire Grass, spokeswoman for Edmonton fire.
