Suspect treated in Edmonton after RCMP open fire during Maskwacis gun call

One person is being treated for gunshot injuries in Edmonton after RCMP responding to a gun call in Maskwacis opened fire.
RCMP were called to a “shots fired” complaint on Samson First Nation just after midnight Monday. Two officers on foot searching the area encountered two suspects before the police weapon was discharged, said RCMP in a Monday news release.
One of the suspects was injured in the police shooting and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries in Edmonton.
