Stump Kitchen attracts viewers with comic message of diversity

Buoyed with oodles of positive feedback, local one-handed cook Alexis Hillyard is launching a fundraising campaign to enable her to make cooking videos for a living.
Hillyard, who has a YouTube series called Stump Kitchen, first came to my attention in the summer of 2015 when I saw her video on making gluten-free waffles with one hand. The video was inspiring — not because of the disability, but because Hillyard made cooking seem like so much fun.
