Saturday's letters: Veterans sacrificed for our freedoms
Last summer, I visited the Edmonton zoo with a very close friend of mine and their children from Calgary. Throughout the day, they commented on how peaceful and back-to-nature the zoo felt here as opposed to Calgary. I did half-apologize as we strolled along, that we didn’t have the number of animals Calgary has but they quickly said, yes, but what you do have is a very pleasant experience.
