Premier Notley is using a bit of overkill in proposing to buy 80 locomotives and 7,000 oil cars to ship oil.
Alberta would still be faced with competition from cheap U.S. oil. We need to tap the Far East market and in 2015, I advocated that the federal government approve a pipeline to Prince Rupert using the CN and Yellowhead right of way which would eliminate any legal dispute with native bands.
