Residents displaced as fire rips through east Edmonton apartment building

Theresa Baran sprang awake Monday morning when she smelled smoke pouring through the vents of her apartment. 
“I just panicked,” she said. “I grabbed my birds and my dog… it was hard for me to breathe. I just grabbed what mattered to me.”
Baran and other residents of six-unit Terrace Heights apartment are wondering what’s next after a fire tore through the building Monday morning.
