RCMP warn against leaving idling vehicles unlocked

Idle vehicles are the auto thieves playthings. 
Mounties have issued a warning about leaving unsecured vehicles idling to warm up in the cooler months.
From Oct. 1 to Nov. 9, there were 1,420 vehicles stolen in RCMP jurisdictions in Alberta. Many of them were idling, according to an RCMP news release.
“Although trucks are predominantly the vehicle of choice, don’t forget to secure your other motor vehicles, like quads, tractors and snowmobiles,” said Cpl. Curtis Peter
