Rain and snow and freezing rain, oh my! Freezing rain warning issued for Edmonton area

Sunday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measure -0.1 C with 7 km/h winds out of the northeast and light rain.
But it won’t just be rain for long. Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning around 4:30 a.m. for Edmonton and most of central Alberta. The agency says a cold front will bring a band of rain or freezing rain with the heaviest freezing rain in areas north of Edmonton.
