Program aims to tackle high rates of food insecurity in African community

Two years ago, Iris Manzano started a job as a support worker helping African and Spanish-speaking immigrants adjust to life in Canada.
Many of those families faced a host of challenges: raising kids, and finding work, healthcare, and social supports in a new country. But Manzano started to notice one problem looming over the others: the families didn’t have food.
