Produced water release at Long Lake under investigation, says Nexen
Nexen Energy is investigating the release of 200,000 litres of produced water at its Long Lake site near Anzac over the weekend, the company said Wednesday.
The 200 cubic metre release has been contained and “all fluids have been removed from the release site and there have been no impacts to wildlife,” Nexen corporate communications manager Brittney Price said.
The company reported the release to Alberta Energy Regulator on Sunday.
