Preliminary hearing in newborn homicide case set for 2018

The case of an Edmonton woman charged with second-degree murder in the death of her 11-day-old daughter will go to a preliminary hearing in June 2018. 
Michelle Rice, 31, is accused in the death of her newborn baby, who police say died of a methamphetamine overdose. 
Rice’s case appeared in provincial court Friday, and was scheduled for a preliminary hearing to be held June 4-6.
