Player grades, Games 41-50: Two steps forward, three back a familiar theme for Edmonton Oilers

Ten days have passed since the Edmonton Oilers played Game #50, coincident with the team itself taking two of its in-season vacations consecutively, first for the All-Star Game, then the team’s mid-season break that was piggybacked right on top of it for the second time in three years. Normally I do the 10-game segment reviews within a day or so of its final contest (by necessity), but with a long schedule break already beckoning, big news broke that night. The firing of Peter Chiarelli to
