Overnight fire levels home under construction in Windermere

An early morning fire ripped through a home under construction in southwest Edmonton Wednesday.
Edmonton fire crews were called to the home at 2:27 a.m. in the newly developed area of Windermere Drive SW. Eighteen fire units arrived on scene less than 10 minutes later at 2:36 a.m. to find the home completely engulfed in flames.
No one was living in the house at the time of the fire and no one was injured. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to just the one house, with slight heat and wind
