Opinion: City leaders must hear marginalized voices

The May 29 council meeting opened with the introduction of our new youth poet laureate, Grayson Thate. Grayson shared a poem that let council see the world through his eyes; as a LGBTQ+ young person living, studying and creating in Edmonton. In those three pages he illuminated the fears he has, the compromises, decisions and considerations he makes to navigate our city every day.
