Omar Khadr asks youth court to terminate remaining sentence while lengthy wait for U.S. appeal case continues
Omar Khadr is requesting the three and half years remaining on his 2010 youth sentence be reduced to just one day as he continues to wait for a decision on a U.S appeal.
Khadr was granted bail in 2015 when he launched an appeal on his conviction for the killing of American special forces soldier Christopher Speer during a firefight in Afghanistan when Khadr was 15.
