Olivia and Liam top 2016 Alberta baby name list again

For the seventh year in a row, Liam is the most popular name for a baby boy in Alberta. It’s the fourth year in a row Olivia has topped the list for girls.
Service Alberta published its annual list of the most popular names of children born in the province Friday. There were 292 Olivias and 277 Liams born in Alberta last year.
The numbers are gathered from Registration of Live Birth forms. Popular names in recent years remain near the top of the list, including Benjamin, Emma and Oliver.
