Oilers' slump continues
CHICAGO — The Edmonton Oilers limped into the second half of the season hoping to somehow stop the bleeding.
But simply opening more wounds and waiting until they run out of blood probably isn’t the best strategy.
Nevertheless, that’s the way it went Sunday in Chicago, where a 4-1 defeat by the Blackhawks came less than 24 hours after a 5-1 loss in Dallas.
They are now 1-5-1 in their last seven and sinking fast.
