The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 2-1 with a third period goal scored by Ryan Spooner to put the Oilers in the lead.
“I thought we played a really good third period, taking away their strengths. That to me shows the maturity of this team,” said Hitchcock. “We didn’t over-pursue and give up odd-man rushes. We stayed with the program.”
