Oilers have no surprises on their expansion protected list

Despite silly speculation the Edmonton Oilers might decide to leave winger Jordan Eberle and his $6 million salary available to the Vegas Golden Knights — in other words give him away — there were absolutely no surprises when the NHL team’s expansion draft protected list was made public Sunday morning.
The Oilers have been listening to trade offers on Eberle, likely for a  cheaper forward because they need some money to resign centre Leon Drasiaitl, their best playoff perf
