Oilers GM happy to be selecting 22nd at NHL Entry Draft

CHICAGO — The Edmonton Oilers have no choice but to lower their expectations heading into the first round of the NHL entry draft Friday night.
And that’s fine by them.
Drafting 22nd overall instead of first means the organization is finally heading in the right direction.
“It’s good news-bad news that we’re at 22,” said Oilers General Manager Peter Chiarelli. “But I’m actually OK with it.”
