Odyssey to save Bobby the stray ends in early morning rescue
Three officers from animal rescue talked to the dog gently.
Two ladies – Donna Sokolik from St. Albert and Michele Johnson from Edmonton – who were following the dog for close to two months soothed the animal in quiet tones.
On Sunday morning, as temperatures hovered in the low negatives and people cleared their snowy driveways, a tired dog, who had kept the women awake for nearly 60 days and made them drive almost the length and breadth of the city, simply surrendered.
